About This Location

Waikamoi Preserve on Maui's northeastern slope of Haleakala protects over 8,900 acres of native Hawaiian cloud forest managed by The Nature Conservancy. It is the last stronghold for several critically endangered Maui forest birds, including the Kiwikiu (Maui Parrotbill) and Akohekohe (Crested Honeycreeper).
